NYC Mayor Bloomberg Will Proclaim July 12th - July 17th Africa Fashion Week
The office of New York City's Mayor Michael Bloomberg will officially proclaim July 12 thru July 17 as Africa Fashion Week in New York City, a historical endorsement for Africans and African Americans in the fashion/entertainment industry.

Elikplim Gordon was born on January 7, 1975 in Ghana, West Africa. Having attended the Vogue House of Style in Ghana from 2008 to 2009, she was awarded with the most outstanding & most creative student award in her class. Her trademark styles are Couture and Ready-to-Wear designs. At the young age of nine, Elikplim Gordon started stitching. Coming from a family of dressmakers, most of her training came from designing her own clothing and creating clothing for members of her family. |
